A movie by Sarah Marx

FICTION / 90' / FRANCE 2 / 2024

Synopsis

Camille has disappeared.

Was it murder, suicide or did she run away?

Two investigations have been launched, one by the police captain and the other one by her best friend Marion. The testimonies of those who knew Camille are conflicting, painting a contrasting picture of this married woman and mother of two young girls. Marion is also Raphael’s sister, Camille’s husband. As she helps her disoriented brother, she slowly realizes that she has been blind to many details. What has she overlooked all these years? What truth will she have to face now? As the case unfolds, Camille’s life reveals an insidious mechanism of psychological manipulation in her marriage. This psychological thriller takes us to the heart of spousal psychological abuse and also explores the guilt felt by loved ones when control, manipulation ,and perversion occur. How can one recognize these signs before it’s too late?
